Andare a capo

Hi to everybody,
mi sono sempre chiesta (non so come si dice in inglese) how works in english language " andare a capo"
I found these rules surfing on the net.
Teacher, are they right ? Of if you have some simple rules to share with us I'll be happy.

Per esempio: "a-ble", "fum-ble", "rub-ble" "mum-ble" and "thi-stle".

Little Story- To Do , To make

MY LITTLE STORY

Hello! My name is Monica and I'm 55 years old.
I' m a physical education teacher since 1983.
I'm fond of rithmic gymnastic because I won the World Championships in Madrid on November 20th 1975.
In the same time Franco died! My best target... during the cold war! (The U.S.S.R didn't compete in this world championship).
I tell my students these historical facts I lived!
When I was 18 , I began my career as coach of the Italian team, until the 1983. I was been a judge and then, for eight years, I was the manager of the Lombardia region (with Maccarani- the actually italian coach -we won the silver medal at the junior european championships).
When my wonderfull daugthers where six and four, I had to make a choice : family or career?
Obviously I chose my family and ,at that moment , my work was only teaching physical education at school.
I'm keen on my job and I love my pupils.
Teaching is my bread and butter, but I know that I have to improve my knownledge every year...
...but...
on my sunday time ... (after my daily school planning)... I feel like a desperate housewife:
...”I'll do my english homework or I do the ironing”???
......THAT'S THE QUESTION, MY FRIENDS!

A few reminders

Hello everyone,
have you recharged your batteries? I hope so!
Just a few reminders:
1.      our blog: personally, I need to know better – from a technical point of view – what to do to upload different kinds of documents. I thank Silvia Cataudella for having written a message explaining ‘how to create a new post’. I’m also very happy to see  that one of us has uploaded two maps, the PowerPoint presentation I prepared for our first class and the video ‘Inglesi che vanno in Italia’ to our blog! I would like to do the same thing soon. If we meet let’s say at 4:45 p.m. on Monday, will Silvia be able to show everyone how to find their way around our virtual place? As for me, this is the last time I email you: from next time onwards I’ll be posting our blog in the hope of  keeping it thriving!
2.      The holiday brochures: How many brochures will you bring to class on Monday? I haven’t received any so far. Never mind: if you couldn’t make time for realising glossy brochures, you can still use the ones you were given last time before Easter.
3.      The syllabus: I’ve written a comprehensive chart illustrating the three units we will go through together before the end of the course. I’ve just emailed you a copy.
4.      Weekly quotes and riddles: I’m earnestly convinced (even though some might think I am a little naïve) that if everyone of us does their part, we could make our world a much better place. What about choosing inspiring quotes from men of science, men of letters, artists, and philosophers and illustrating their significance for mankind?
This is the quote I would like to share with you next time:
Love binds, and it binds for ever. Good binds, while evil unravels. Separation is another word for evil; it is also another word for deceit. All that exists is a magnificent interweaving, vast and
reciprocal.
(Michel Houellebecq – Les particules élémentaires)
Have you ever read any novels by Michel Houellebecq?

Enjoy you weekend! See you on Monday.
I’m looking forward to having feedback from you on the syllabus.
